Former Wolverine Announces Retirement After Winning Super Bowl

There's really no better way to retire from the NFL then as a Super Bowl champion, and that's exactly what quarterback Chad Henne did last night. Following Kansas City's 38-35 win over Philadelphia in Super Bowl LVII, Henne took to social media to announce that he was officially calling it a career.
"Calling it a career," wrote Henne. "Capping it off with a Bud Light and another ring."

Henne has spent the last five seasons with Chiefs serving as the backup quarterback to Patrick Mahomes. In the rare instances when his number was called, Henne routinely proved to be ready for the moment. During the Chiefs Super Bowl run this season, he replaced an injured Mahomes in the AFC Divisional round and helped lead Kansas City to a win over Jacksonville - going 5-of-7 for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Henne, Michigan's all-time leading passer, was selected in the second round (No. 57 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. He spent 15 seasons in the NFL, with stops at Miami, Jacksonville, and finally Kansas City. Henne finishes his 15-year NFL career with 13,290 passing yards, 60 touchdowns, and two Super Bowl rings.
