Neitzel averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds in a pair of Spartan victories, shooting .583 from the field and .500 from three-point range. In a 78-62 road win at Northwestern, the preseason All-Big Ten honoree scored 20 points, connecting on six-of-10 three-point attempts and adding five assists. Against Michigan, Neitzel scored a team-best 18 points and added seven assists and a season-high seven rebounds. Fifteen of his 18 points came in the first half as Michigan State got out to an eight-point halftime lead. This is the first weekly accolade for the Grand Rapids native this season and the fourth of his career.Â
