MOJO to play tonight!

Walking out with Drew Neitzel to the court before the game moments ago it was very obvious that this is his team and he was confident and loose. All the proof for the confidence the team had at the hotel before the game was demonstrated when I was greeted by MOJO who was dressed and ready to play. That was great news for the Spartan Nation facing the difficult mountain of a Big Ten schedule ahead.

Â
This is a game that MSU needs badly. With a 12-2 record how could this be a must win you ask? Simple! This is not like teams in the past. A road win against one of the bottom feeders of the Big Ten would start what will be at best a difficult schedule for the Spartans out right.

Â
Iowa came in 8-6 and struggling. The Spartans were sitting at an impressive 13-2 and clearly experiencing one of Tom Izzo’s best coaching jobs. The Spartans however needed some MOJOmentum! Having the lanky sharp shooter from Canada back would mean the Spartans could open up the game plan simply from the point of having more quality bodies.

Â
Having not fully practiced since the BYU game, MOJO will play light minutes but his presence and ability to play certainly has the Spartan Nation excited. I asked him how he was feeling and he said, “It feels great to be out here!” MOJO it is great to see you out there.
