EAST LANSING, Mich. -Michigan State men’s soccer coach Damon Rensing announced the addition of two more studentathletes to his recruiting class as Brent Rosendall and Cody Henderson will report to campus this fall for the 2010 season. Th e freshman class for the fall of 2010 will number six student-athletes, as Rosendall and Henderson will join the previously-announced four that committed in February.

Rosendall comes to Michigan State as a transfer from Louisville where he played for two seasons. While with the Cardinals, he scored four goals and was received All-BIG EAST Conference Academic honors in 2008-09. Rosendall attended Forest Hills Northern High School in Grand Rapids from 2004-07 where he scored 22 goals as a senior and garnered all-state, all-district and all-conference honors. He collected all-district and all-conference accolades as a sophomore and junior as well. Rosendall played club soccer for the Kalamazoo Kingdom and Vardar.

Rensing on Rosendall: “Brent is a transfer from Louisville and has been with us since January. He has fi t in right away with both our style of play and with the guys off the fi eld. He has good feet for someone with his size and frame. He holds the ball well and has a nose to get on the end of things. He should compliment an already solid attacking group of players.”

Henderson was a four-year letterwinner in both soccer and football at Lasher High School in Bloomfi eld Hills. As a junior, Henderson garnered fi rst-team all-state honors and as sophomore he earned second-team all-state accolades. Henderson was forced to miss his senior season due to an injury. At the club level, Henderson was a key part of two national championships with the Michigan Wolves.

Rensing on Henderson: “Cody comes from the same successful Wolves team that fellow 2010 recruits Josh Barens and Ryan Keener play for. He has a great work rate, temperament, and always seems to be around the ball. He can play numerous positions, which also is a great asset. Cody’s best ability though, is that he makes the other players around him better. We look forward to Cody joining the MSU soccer program.”
