Welcome back to the Prep Report on SpartanNation.com!

National Letter of Intent day is past and we are gearing up for districts which start a month from Monday. Some big games have come and gone while other squads are just trying to eek out some wins. We will look at some of these games in this week’s installment! I apologize for my column being so short this week. We didn’t have a Century Club member and there wasn’t a lot of buzz around any other stories. Let’s take a look at the games of the past week!

Low Score of the Week

Traverse City St. Francis 26 East Jordan 19 (45 points)

It was the Sheldon show I guess you could say. Sean Sheldon had 12 points and five rebounds. Ian Sheldon had five points and six rebounds. Only nine other points were scored in the game for TCSF. East Jordan tried to stall and get the win, but the Gladiators led 16-8 at the half and took home the win.

Coach Cottrell’s BLOWOUT of the Week

Eau Claire 67 Three Oaks River Valley 18 (49 points)

Not a whole lot we can say about this game. Eau Claire won by more points than Traverse City St. Francis and East Jordan scored total in their game. Antonio Lewis had 20 points and Josh Geisler had 13. For River Valley, Trevor Harlan and Mike Seminec were the top scorers with five points each followed by Charlie Trout’s four points. The score was 45-10 at the half.

High Score of the Week

Iron Mountain North Dickinson 86 Rapid River 78 (164 points)

It’s not very often I get a chance to talk about Upper Peninsula basketball. Bryon Harper came off the bench and worked wonders for Felch North Dickinson. He scored 26 points, including a huge three point shot late in the game.
