Good, Bad, and Ugly Podcast Covering Michigan State Athletics Episode XVIII

Let's take a deep-dive in Michigan State athletics with our latest episode of the Good, Bad and Ugly podcast featuring Chuck Grenier.

East Lansing, MI – In today's episode, we bring in Chuck Grenier, a legendary high school football and basketball coach, to discuss Michigan State athletics' latest news.

Mel Tucker and his coaching staff had three and a half weeks of fully padded practices before facing Rutgers at home.

The loss provided an additional look at his new team, but it still wouldn't be enough time to prepare for Michigan, the Spartans' biggest rival, in week two, right?

Wrong.

Michigan State came up with a sound gameplan, executing it to perfection on their way to bringing the Paul Bunyan trophy back to East Lansing.

It was a massive win.

The Spartans were named Reveal Suits National Team of the Week; the first time earning those honors since defeating No. 2 Ohio State in 2015.

Grenier found it extremely encouraging, especially when fans consider the way Michigan State looked vs. Rutgers.

But as everyone stated on numerous occasions, it's hard to beat anyone when you can't take care of the football.

Against Michigan, MSU didn't turn it over once and instead torched the Wolverines with passes downfield, resulting in nine completions for 271 yards (out of Rocky Lombardi's 323.)

Tucker's new-look Spartans were ready to play.
