Michigan State 2021 Commit Tyson Watson: Using His Platform

Michigan State 2021 commit, Tyson Watson, wants to use his platform like other athletes, to elevate the future.

“It was a tough process, especially with Corona. My plan was to commit towards the end of July, but with Corona, it sped up my process. It was easy once I really thought about it and saw the right fit for me,” Michigan State 2021 commit, Tyson Watson said.

Receiving the offer on April 6, Watson committed shortly after on April 17.

“Yeah, I committed, but we still have a way to go. We’ve got somewhere to be.”

While Watson wants to make it to the NFL, he has other plans as well.

“I like talking. My goal is to start up a podcast in the next couple of months. I’ve always wanted to have the largest podcast in the world.”

Listening to Joe Rogan, Logan Paul, sports podcasts, and talk shows, Watson just wants to talk about anything and everything. More so, to use his platform to be able to voice what is right.

“We’ve got athletes out here like LeBron, and the NFL stars that are taking a knee and standing up for what is right. I want people to understand what we’re trying to do right now is positive. We’re not pushing back anybody; we’re just trying to build up people. I don’t think some people understand what we’re trying to do. They want to make it negative, or take things out of context. We just want things to be right. What’s right it right, what’s wrong is wrong. I always talk to my friends and we’re trying to elevate the future. Life is bigger than football.”

Although Watson wants to go beyond football and make a change in the world, he doesn’t want to leave the sports world; even hoping to coach college football someday.

“There’s always a bigger picture, and I’m always looking at it. I’m going to work hard, and I’m ready to be a Spartan.”

And he is.
