Michigan State 2022 Target, Tyrell Henry, Building a Bond

Michigan State 2022 target and 3-star wide receiver, Tyrell Henry, stands up for others and for what is right.

Growing up in Roseville, MI, it’s no question why Michigan State 2022 target, Tyrell Henry, would be happy to get offers from both Michigan and Michigan State.

“When I got Michigan, I was happy, and when I got Michigan State it completed it. It was a surreal experience; you’re happy when you get it and know you worked hard for it,” Henry said.

Taking a look at Michigan State’s new program, Henry thinks that Mel Tucker will change the culture.

“Coach Tucker is great. He’s a good guy; I like talking to him. You can tell he is genuine when talking to you, you can feel it. You can tell from talking to any of the coaches; Coach Hawkins, or Coach Jay, any of them, you can tell they’re trying to make it a better place, go further.”

In making the program better, building the team dynamic is key.

At home, Henry has a great bond with his family.

“My siblings argue a lot, but we love each other. My mom plays around and goofs around with us all the time. My brother likes playing with me, he’ll be on the trampoline yelling, ‘hey Tyrell, want to come play with me?’ Whenever we have time for each other, we make it.”

Being there for his family, Henry also stands up for those around him.

“In middle schools there was a kid that used to be bulled, and I used to help him out all the time. He came back to the middle school and saw me and said, ‘hey, aren’t you Tyrell?’ He gave me a huge and said, ‘thank you.’ I almost cried because I remember helping him.”

The 3-star wide receiver is not afraid to stand up for others or for what is right.

“I would make sure he was good, and I had people who made sure he was being protected and wasn’t being talked about. I knew everybody, I knew the kids, and I would tell them to chill and lay off of him and not react that way.”

Henry is about keeping thigs positive, keeping people uplifted and getting on the right path.

“Don’t let things get you down. You can let one bad thing ruin your day or your whole week, don’t let that happen. Keep yourself uplifted, keep your head high and keep going.”

If Henry were to commit to Michigan State, the Spartans would be adding a great asset to its team dynamic.
