Michigan State Basketball: All-time Rebounding Leaders

If you want to play for Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans, you must dedicate your game to defense and rebounding.
Izzo's philosophy has developed some of the best players in the Big Ten and the NBA.
In 2012, former Spartan Draymond Green entered a Sweet 16 matchup against Louisville 13 rebounds away from overtaking Greg Kelser's career achievement – a record that stood for 33 years.
Michigan State would lose the game 57-44, but Green walked away, having grabbed 16 boards, finishing his time in East Lansing with 1,096 rebounds.
Now that the loss's shadow is long gone, it's easier for Spartan fans to appreciate what Green accomplished.
He also sits atop the leaderboard for the most rebounds in a single-season with 394 (2011-12) – two ahead of Johnny Green, who ended his career with the third most boards of all-time and the highest average per game (16.4).
