Trejuan Holloman has a decision to make. A couple, actually.

The class of 2022 target not only has to decide which college will be his next home, but he also has to decide if he wants to play football, basketball, or both.

Receiving an offer from Michigan State’s Coach Mike Tressel on Oct. 15, meant the second offer Holloman had received from a Michigan State team. The other being from the Spartans basketball head coach, Tom Izzo.

“I’ve been playing basketball since I was three, shooting on the big rim. Football has always been fun for me. I played quarterback going all the way up to my 9th grade year,” the 3-star cornerback and point-guard said.

Having Michigan State’s football team and basketball team both wanting Holloman, at least gives him the option to continue playing both sports competitively.

But if Holloman had to make the choice of one over the other, it would be tough.

“I can’t even tell you. Right now, I really can’t give up either football or basketball. I love both.”

Playing both football and basketball, Holloman said he didn’t think that Michigan State football would give him an offer if they thought he was leaning more towards basketball.

“But, they did. And I really am glad that they did. Now I’m looking at playing both if I can, if I choose them.”

With the other Michigan State football prospects being able to talk about Head Coach Mel Tucker, Holloman is the one to also give his insight on Izzo.

“The coaching staff, they are one of the best that I have talked to. Coach Izzo, he is a great coach. One of the legends for sure. He likes how physical I am and upper body. He’s had some really great point guards come through and he thinks I can be the best, next. Right after Cassius.”

In due time, Holloman will have to make a few decisions to see which direction he wants to go.

“My journey is going to keep going. I don’t know where it will take me, but we’ll see.”
