• The Mississippi State men's basketball team is one of 26 schools nationally and one of three SEC squads with at least five combined NCAA NET Quad 1/Quad 2 victories. Overall, the Bulldogs are No. 34 in the NCAA's NET rankings.

• If you think you're cold, just remember that Willie Gay Jr., Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs braved frigid temperatures that reached minus-4 degree and had a wind chill of minus-27 when they beat the Miami Dolphins over the weekend. 

• Former Mississippi State players who saw their NFL season come to an end in the playoffs over the weekend included Dak Prescott, Darius Slay, Fletcher Cox and Martin Emerson.

• Volleyball announced a new addition for the 2024 season in Payton Woods, a 6-foot-1 outside hitter and defensive specialist transferring after one season at Sam Houston State.
