The Mississippi State Bulldogs will take on the New Orleans Privateers for their second mid-week game in Biloxi. The Bulldogs want to salvage their trip to Biloxi after an embarrassing loss to South Alabama.

Mississippi State used a lot of arms last night, so tonight will be a bullpen game for the Bulldogs. The offense needs to put up more runs and quit being so reliant on Dakota Jordan.

With SEC play starting this weekend it is crucial MSU gets a win here so they can have a little momentum going into conference play. New Orleans is no slouch as they hold wins over Evansville and South Alabama.

Last Meeting: The Bulldogs won the previous matchup 8-4 on March 23rd, 2005.

Last time out, Privateers: New Orleans lost their previous game 8-0 in their series finale against Florida State at Tallahassee. It was a tough weekend for the Privateers, as the 15-0 Seminoles swept them.

Last time out, Bulldogs: MSU lost their previous matchup 6-5 to South Alabama. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the fourth but did not score another run, and errors and clutch hits led the Jaguars to victory.
