Just A Bulldog Minute: Women's Basketball Propels Past Texas A&M On The Road

The Bulldogs continue to cruise through SEC play with a road victory over Texas A&M on Sunday.

Mississippi State's women's basketball now has a four-game win streak after a road victory over Texas A&M in College Station this past Sunday.

The Aggies offense did cause some initial trouble for the Bulldogs, going up 11-2 early in the first quarter, but the Bulldogs came fighting back, forcing 22 turnovers, the most against an SEC opponent for the Bulldogs this season, while scoring 23 points off of them. The Aggies were also held to 39 percent shooting from the field.

Bulldog forward Erynn Barnum stood out with 22 points with six rebounds while shooting 9-11 from the field. Meanwhile, guard Jerkaila Jordan recorded her 10th career double-double as a Bulldog with 11 points and 11 rebounds in Sunday's matchup.

Guard Darrione Rogers continues to be a rising x-factor in the Bulldogs' rotation, scoring 18 points and five rebounds off the bench. She has now scored 10+ points off the bench in three of her last four games.

Following Sunday's win, the Bulldogs are now 19-5 overall and 6-3 in SEC play, firmly sitting at third place in the SEC standings, behind Tennessee at second and South Carolina at first. The Bulldogs have also won eight of the last ten meetings versus the Aggies,

It's been an impressive year two for the Bulldogs in the Sam Purcell era, who have the Bulldogs on the verge of back-to-back season of 20+ wins since 2018-20.
