Jerry Jones Comments on Dak Prescott's Future After 42-10 Loss To 49ers

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recently commented on the future of quarterback Dak Prescott in the midst of criticism.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has fallen under fire since his lackluster performance in the 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the team's latest game.

The former Mississippi State signal-caller threw for just 153 yards as he was intercepted 3 times and sacked 3 times on the evening.

And it's so much so that some are calling for Prescott to be replaced at signal-caller. Based on what Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said in his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan, though, that doesn't look like it will be a possibility any time soon.

"Dak Prescott is a quarterback that can get us to the Super Bowl and that’s the way that’s going to be," Jones said. "I want to be real clear: Dak’s very capable of making this team be where we want it to go... we should recognize that we had a very bad outing. And San Francisco had a very good outing.

"But as far as sitting here saying we should completely change out the towels here, that’s not even in the cards. And it’s really ridiculous."

Prescott has been one of the most polarizing prospects in the NFL for some time now, so the controversy he has been met with this season is nothing new. To this point in the year, he's completed 69.4% of his passes for 1,061 passing yards with 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

Prescott and the Cowboys will look to bounce back as they take on the Los Angeles Chargers at 7:15 p.m. CT on the road Monday.
