Kickoff Time Set For Mississippi State's Oct. 21 Meeting With Arkansas

The kickoff time for Mississippi State football's upcoming matchup against the Arkansas Razorbacks was officially announced during the week.

Mississippi State football (3-3) will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-4) at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 21, as was officially announced by the Southeastern Conference on Monday.

If the Bulldogs are able to pull off a win in Fayetteville, Arkansas it will better their overall record in the all-time series between the two teams. The Razorbacks currently lead it, with an 18-14-1 overall record against the Bulldogs.

But it's important to note the amount of recent success MSU has had against Arkansas, victorious in 8 of the past 11 meetings.

The last the Razorbacks and the Bulldogs met was last season on Oct. 8 in Starkville, Mississippi, where Arkansas came away with a dominant, 40-17 win over the No. 20-ranked team in the nation.

With a lot having changed on both sides, but particularly within the roster and the coaching staff of MSU after the unexpected passing of Mike Leach, it will be interesting to see how things play out this time.

MSU will come into the matchup fresh off of an open date, looking for its first win in conference play of the season.
