Watch: Everything Mississippi State Head Coach Zach Arnett Said After The 48-7 Win Over Southeastern Louisiana

Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett met with the media following the Bulldogs' victory over Southeastern Louisiana.

Mississippi State football opened the season in dominant fashion as the Bulldogs transition into something of a new chapter under head coach Zach Arnett after the passing of Mike Leach.

The Bulldogs got the outcome they were after, defeating the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, 48-7 in Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

"That'll go all the way through the week, of course," Arnett responded. "You can't play a guy if he has a horrible week of practice and doesn't know the game plan or doesn't execute and is making assignment errors. So, every player here knows and understands that. That's part of it. But those guys (listed as starters) certainly have the leg up because they're listed at number one at that position so far right now."
