Watch: Everything Mississippi State Head Coach Zach Arnett Said Ahead Of Week 4 Matchup Against South Carolina

Everything Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett said ahead of the team's Week 4 matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Mississippi State (2-1) started the season off on a high note with wins over Southeastern Louisiana and Arizona in Davis Wade Stadium to build up some confidence at the start of the Zach Arnett era.

But the team hit its first real rough patch of the year as the Bulldogs were trounced by the No. 12-ranked LSU Tigers, 41-14 in Starkville, Mississippi.

Up next on the schedule, MSU will look to get back to the right side of the win column as it faces the South Carolina Gamecocks in the first road contest of the season.

Arnett met with the media ahead of the contest:

"Coach (Shane)Beamer has done a tremendous job in his short time there," Arnett said.

"They are physical and fast on defense. Very athletic on offense. Returning veteran quarterback who has thrown for a lot of yards and can make every throw on the field. Credit to Coach Beamer and his staff for the job they have done there. We know we’re facing a very talented football team. Both teams are excited to get back on the field and improve. It should be a hard-fought, four-quarter game.
