Watch: Everything Mississippi State Head Coach Zach Arnett Said Ahead Of Matchup Against No. 12 Alabama

Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett met with the media ahead of the team's upcoming matchup against No. 12-ranked Alabama.

Mississippi State (2-2) suffered a tough loss Saturday as it was so close, yet so far away with the Bulldogs falling 37-30 to the South Carolina Gamecocks on the road.

Up next, the Bulldogs will look to get back on the right track against a tough, No. 12-ranked Alabama team in Starkville, Mississippi.

Head coach Zach Arnett met with the media ahead of the matchup. One of the many topics he fielded questions on was the secondary issues, which have been apparent to this point in the season.

"We need to figure it out," Arnett said.

"Two long touchdowns in man coverage. That’s the tightest coverage you can. But you can’t allow explosive plays for touchdowns. You’ve got to get them on the ground. Or you go into zone concepts, and we have those in the playbook as well. When the quarterback can scramble, you have to pull someone out of the rush, and spy a little bit. In zone, you have a lot of eyes on the quarterback, but you can get picked apart. Gotta do something, but it would not be in my best interest to tell you exactly what we’ll do."
