- Women's basketball will play in the annual McBain Homes Braggin' Rights Showdown. Illinois (5-3) is led by second-year head coach Shauna Green, who last year had the Illini in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in more than 20 years. Senior guard Genesis Bryant is averaging over 14 points per game while shooting over 35 percent from 3-point range.
- Men's basketball is facing Seton Hall of just the second time, and not since the the first 1992 NCAA Tournament. Anthony Peeler scored 28 points but the Pirates earned an 88-71 win in Greensboro, N.C., to advance to the Sweet 16.
- Also, Mizzou has lost five straight in Kansas City. It's last win there was 92-80 over Hawaii in 2013.
- Former Oklahoma OL Cayden Green, who is in the transfer portal, is expected to visit Mizzou on Sunday.
- Football opened practices for the Cotton Bowl.
