Report: Missouri Quarterback, Pitcher Sam Horn to Undergo Surgery

Horn is expected to miss both the baseball and football season due to his recovery timeline.

Missouri Quarterback Sam Horn will be undergoing Tommy John surgery to replace a torn UCL, per PowerMizzou. He is expected to be out for 12-15 months, meaning he will miss this current baseball season, the next football season and potentially parts of the next baseball season, too.

Horn competed with fellow Missouri Quarterback Brady Cook for the starting role during week one of the 2023 season. The role was eventually rewarded to Cook and Horn only saw action in three games.

During the 2023 season, Horn threw for 54 yards and one touchdown in the first game of the season and appeared in games against Kansas State and Arkansas. As part of the Missouri Baseball team last season, he appeared in 4.1 innings of relief where he gave up zero runs with three hits and three walks.

Missouri Football won't be without a backup next season, however. They have three-star signee Aiden Glover headed to Columbia to play alongside Cook for 2024.
