NC State football coach Dave Doeren ranks exactly in the middle of the ACC in pay, according to a survey of major college football coaching salaries released on Tuesday by USAToday.

Doeren's contract, which was extended through 2023 in March with a $250,000 raise, is worth $3.25 million annually. That includes paid bonuses of $200,000 for reaching certain performance and academic thresholds.

It's a total that makes him the seventh-highest paid of the ACC's 14 head coaches and 42nd nationally.

Clemson's Dabo Swinney tops the list (both in the ACC and nationally) at $9.255 million per year in salary. Florida State's Willie Taggart, Virginia Tech's Justin Fuente, Virginia's Bronco Mendenhall, North Carolina's Mack Brown and Louisville's Scott Satterfield are the coaches that earn more than Doeren.
