Matthew McKay went 17 of 30 for 175 yards and an interception against Ball State on Saturday, but only one of those completions and one of the yards came in the second half. It wasn't the kind of performance the sophomore needed heading into next week's ACC opener, especially on a night when coach Dave Doeren made it a point to get backup Bailey Hockman some meaningful snaps.
