Alexis Markowski Leads Several Huskers With Big Ten Honors

Nebraska is represented on the first, second and all-freshman women's basketball teams

Multiple Nebraska women's basketball players were honored Tuesday with Big Ten Conference yearly awards.

For the first time in her career, Alexis Markowski was named to the All-Big Ten first team. Markowski was voted there by both the league coaches and media. She was second team the past two seasons.

Jaz Shelley earned second-team All-Big Ten honors for the second time at Nebraska (2022). She was first team last season.

Natalie Potts had a dynamic freshman season in Lincoln, earning her the Freshman of the Year award from the league's coaches. She was also All-Big Ten honorable mention from the media and on the coaches' and media's all-freshman team. 

Logan Nissley joined Potts on both all-freshman teams.
