Nebraska's A.D. Is Tougher Than Your A.D.

Name a tougher athletic director than Trev Alberts. I'll wait.

Trev Alberts as we all know was an NFL-caliber linebacker. He was sharp as a tack and tough as well-done steak. Trev -- or as we call him, Sir ... I mean Mr. Alberts ... please don't hurt me ... I'm so scared -- was an essential piece of the puzzle that turned Nebraska from a great team to the greatest team to ever play the game.

And now he's ... *checks notes* ... Nebraska's A.D.! That's bananas if you ask me. I'm positive that Trev could win in a fight against any other A.D. in college football (I'm looking at you, Barry Alvarez).

It's not just the insane toughness that impresses me either. It's also how casually he talks about it, like, "Yeah I dislocated my shoulder because a 300-pound fat lineman fell on it from 6 feet ... anyhoo, I'm gonna go to Home Depot later if I have enough time." If that happened to me I'd be talking about like I had been abducted by aliens or kidnapped by the cartel. Actually I wouldn't talk about it. If anyone ever brought it up, I'd get a glazed over distant look in my eyes and I would cry one solitary tear, go into shock and wake up three days later alone in my room wondering how I got there.

And I'm tougher than most athletic directors, so ...

Please go check out the video at the top of this article if you haven't already as well the other ones we posted the last few weeks. Also, keep an eye out for new videos coming out twice a week or so on this very site. We have all the greats - Tommie, Johnny, Milt, Charlie and of course Dr. Tom (and many, many more).

Later, friends.
