With offensive coordinators developing high-level and high-efficiency schemes, it is important for defenses to build up strong depth throughout the lineup. Nebraska has never turned its head to recruiting high-level cornerbacks and defensive backs. It starts with visits and offers, and the Huskers offered both to a specific cornerback who is the topic of this writing.

David “DKUK” KuKu is a 6-foot, 160-pound cornerback prospect from Kamiakin High School in Kennewick, Washington. The class of 2025 prospect recently posted a photo of his invite from Nebraska. The cornerback spoke with HuskerMax to talk not only about his potential visit but also his offer as he goes back to recap what he considers a blessing.

“Man it was a blessing,” KuKu said. “It changed my life forever and for the better. All the hard work sure did pay off.”

“I spoke with Omar (Hales) and Evan Cooper, but Omar is not there anymore. They loved my film and loved how I could move on both sides!”

As mentioned earlier he did receive a visit invite. Take a look.

“Yes, I plan to come down sometime soon,” KuKu said.

He went into detail about what made Nebraska so special.

“What makes Nebraska special was obviously being my first offer being in the Big Ten, so it was a blessing.”

Although he claims no school has fallen out of his top schools yet, he made a positive statement that should catch the eye of all Husker fans. “All of my schools are still in consideration, but Nebraska was my first so they are up there.”

“I can bring another lockdown side and just a physical xorner that’s playing with a purpose to Nebraska if that’s the choice,” he said.
