It isn’t all that abnormal for a school to offer a kid who just finished his freshman season. This isn’t completely frequent with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. If they offer you that early, you are LEGIT!

With 2025 being the primary focus and 2026 still being a big focus for schools, it’s not often you see the typical 2027 kid get an offer. However, that was not the case with today’s spotlight athlete.

Antayvious “Tay” Ellis is a 2027 wide receiver at Crowley High School in Crowley, Texas. He is teammates with Brandon Ford, who also received a Nebraska offer.

The 6-foot 170-pound Ellis  also holds offers from Arkansas, Baylor, TCU and more. He spoke with HuskerMax to detail his Nebraska offer and everything around it.

“I don’t know much about Nebraska, but I look forward to seeing what they have to offer,” Ellis said. “It was a great experience to get the offer from Coach (Garret) McGuire (wide receivers coach) and him getting to know me, and him telling me about Nebraska and their culture.”

“I do hope to get an official visit with Nebraska down the road so I can see what the environment is like. I really appreciate all the offers I have gotten so far.”
