Offensive Lineman Gregory Patrick Dives Into His Nebraska Visit

Huskers are ‘high on my board right now,’ says four-star 2026 prospect from Michigan

For recruits across the nation, visiting a school is a crucial step. It is the most important timeline activity aside from receiving a program's initial offer. Visiting gives a recruit a whole different perspective on a program and provides insights he probably otherwise wouldn't have. We report on visits so everyone knows where a recruit stands after a trip to a school like Nebraska.

That’s exactly what I’m bringing to you today.

Gregory Patrick is a 2026 offensive lineman from Portage Northern High School in Portage, Michigan. He is listed as a four-star prospect and measures in at around 6-foot-4 and 275 pounds.

Patrick recently caught up with HuskerMax to recap his visit to Nebraska, which happens to be where his uncle Chris Patrick played nearly two decades ago as a starter for the Huskers at left offensive tackle.

“Receiving the offer from Nebraska was super exciting and I was happy, especially at the moment,” Gregory Patrick stated.

He talked in positive terms about the time he spent in Lincoln in late March. “My visit went really well and I learned a lot and had fun.” What he finds unique about Nebraska is “how progressive they've always been throughout college football.”

Under NCAA guidelines, coaches' contact with underclassmen is limited, but Patrick has had a bit of communication with the Huskers' offensive line coach, Donovan Raiola.

“I talk to Coach Raiola a little bit right now considering I'm an underclassman right now,” Patrick said. “I think Coach Raiola is a great coach, and something that makes him special is his love for players and attention to detail. Nebraska is high on my board right now.”

“I would love to visit again but it's hard considering the distance,” Patrick stated.

With the 650-mile driving distance playing a factor, it is key to note what the Huskers have done with this visit considering there may not be another one for a while.
