The Nebraska Cornhuskers have always been a well-rounded recruiting school. No matter whether it is going on a deep search to find a hidden gem or flipping the No. 1 recruit in the nation from a national powerhouse like Georgia, the Huskers have always made a valuable effort to recruit well.

One of the newest recruits to land an offer from Matt Rhule and his Huskers is Terry Shelton.

Shelton is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound wideout and is a three-star rated recruit from Ranchview High School in Carrollton, Texas. He holds offers from high-level programs like Nebraska, Kansas, Houston, and more.

Below is his offer post.

Following his offer he spoke with HuskerMax to detail his offer.

“What makes Nebraska unique to me, is the culture. Many people my age don’t know Nebraska used to be how Alabama is now with the culture (it still is). Nebraska’s culture is one of a kind and being recruited by the university is an honor,” Shelton said.

“Receiving a scholarship offer from Nebraska was a true blessing! I thank Coach (Evan) Cooper, Coach (Garret) McGuire and Coach Rhule for believing in me.”

He talked more about the coaches he has connected with.

“The coaches I have connected with so far at Nebraska are Coach Rhule, Coach McGuire, and Coach Cooper. Connecting with them was great! It was great meeting them through FaceTime and it’s been also great building a relationship with them. The pitch it gave me was they are very interested in me and they truly believe in me, and that I can help impact the program. With me meeting Coach Rhule, that proved to me that I am a main target of theirs and they see themselves helping me reach my full potential!”

He also confirmed his official visit will take place during the weekend of the Huskers' Red-White spring game, April 26-28.

“Nebraska is one of my top schools! Can’t wait to get up there and see the environment and culture myself.”
