Huskers Sweep Golden Hurricane

Nebraska starts 2-0 on the first day of the 2022 season

A perfect first day of the 2022 campaign for No. 1 Nebraska volleyball.

After sweeping Texas A&M-Corpus Christi earlier in the day, the Huskers did the same to Tulsa Friday evening 25-15, 12, 13 to improve to 2-0.

Utilizing a different lineup than the first game, NU hit .318 on the match.

Anni Evans got the nod at setter, handing out 36 assists.

Whitney Lauenstein led the way for Big Red with 15 kills on .429 hitting with Madi Kubik not far behind with 14 kills on .414 hitting.

Kaitlyn Hord added another five blocks to lead the team for the second straight match.

Nebraska hosts Pepperdine Saturday with a 7 p.m. first serve. The Waves include senior Kayleigh Hames, the sister of Husker Nicklin Hames.
