2021 WR Deion Colzie Commits To Notre Dame

The Athens (Ga.) Academy standout committed to the Irish during an Oct. 12 visit.

Notre Dame’s loaded 2021 class just got a lot better as Athens (Ga.) Academy standout wide receiver Deion Colzie committed to the Fighting Irish.

Colzie camped at Notre Dame this summer and was a standout, earning a scholarship offer. The 6-4, 205-pound wideout quickly became a top target for the Irish staff, who made a strong push for the standout wideout.

Ranked as the No. 48 player in the country by ESPN, No. 55 by 247 Sports and No. 94 by Rivals, the Athens Academy star is one of the nation’s premier players.

Colzie had offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Duke, Georgia Tech, Virginia, West Virginia and Mississippi State.

He joins a 2021 class that already contains quarterback Tyler Buchner, offensive tackle Blake Fisher, tight end Cane Berrong, defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio and offensive guard/center Greg Crippen, although Crippen is unlikely to remain in the class.
