Buckeyes In Four-Star CB Aaron Scott's Top 5

Four-star cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. would be the third defensive commitment in the Ohio State Buckeyes' 2024 recruiting class and their first defensive back.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are ready, are ready, are ready for a commitment from Aaron Scott Jr.

In a "SpongeBob SquarePants"-themed graphic, the four-star cornerback in the class of 2024 announced Thursday that the Buckeyes were in his top five schools along with Michigan, Penn State, Oregon and Tennessee. Scott is a top-five cornerback and the No. 1 player in the Buckeye State in the 2024 cycle.

"I grew up watching them with my family," Scott told On3's Hayes Fawcett of the Buckeyes. "And the db coach is recruiting me hard. He’s making it feel like home and they are doing something special with the 24 class now."

Scott has received three crystal ball predictions to Ohio State by 247Sports, taking an unofficial visit to Columbus March 31, 2022.

In 2022 for Springfield High School, Scott recorded 21 tackles, three for loss and forced a fumble. He used his 6-0, 180-pound frame and 6-5 wingspan to intercept five passes last season — two of which he returned for touchdowns.

Like other recruits the Buckeyes pursue, Scott is a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball and running track. In the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division 1 District outdoor meet May 19, Scott ran a personal-best 11,05-second 100-meter dash, according to his AthleticNet profile.
