For the second day in a row, the Ohio State Buckeyes have missed on a commitment.

Class of 2024 in four-star Elijah Moore announced his commitment to Florida State Tuesday, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. In addition to the Buckeyes, the Olney, MD. native chose the Seminoles over Michigan, Maryland and Florida.

This comes one day after four-star edge rusher Marquise Lightfoot chose Miami after trending to Ohio State with crystal balls for the Buckeyes that were later flipped to the Hurricanes.

Ohio State still boasts two five-star pass-catchers in the class of 2024 in top-20 overall players Jeremiah Smith and Mylan Graham.

The Good Counsel High School product received his offer from Ohio State Dec. 6, 2022, taking an official visit to Columbus June 2-4.

Moore said offensive coordinator Brian Hartline expressed great interest in him in his recruitment.

“He always shows love and shows what he wants out of me,” Moore told The Columbus Dispatch. “I can tell that he’s passionate about me. Every time we talk after the offer, he’s always trying to get me to commit on the spot. ‘What are you waiting for? Come be a Buckeye.’”

Ohio State is still not out of the running for adding more wide receivers in the class of 2024, though, as the Buckeyes are trending to land No. 20 player at the position in Jeremiah McClellan.
