BREAKING: Ohio State Lands Commitment From Class of 2024 RB Jordan Lyle

The Ohio State Buckeyes added to their running back room, landing their third commitment from a class of 2024 ball-carrier Saturday.

Amidst the former Ohio State Buckeyes moving on to the NFL the past three days, the next wave of talent coming to Columbus was announced Saturday.

On3 four-star running back Jordan Lyle committed to Ohio State Saturday, marking the Buckeyes' third ball-carrier they've landed in the class of 2024, joining 247Sports' fifth-best running back James Peoples and three-star Sam Williams-Dixon.

Lyle told On3's Hayes Fawcett he chose Ohio State because of the "genuine love and development of the players that I saw."

“The coaches are extremely great people that want the best out of you and I would love to be around people like that," Lyle said. "When I went up there on a visit, the practice had so much energy and emotion. I would definitely want to see myself in that type of environment. Ohio State has always been a dream school of mine since Zeke (Elliott) played. I can’t wait to join the Buckeye Nation.”

In his sophomore season at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL., Lyle carried the ball 91 times for 1,015 yards — an average of 11.1 yards per carry — and 12 touchdowns.

According to On3's team rankings, the Buckeyes have the second-best recruiting class in 2024 with 13 commitments, trailing only the Georgia Bulldogs.
