Ohio State Has On3's Best Wide Receiver Room For 2023

The Ohio State Buckeyes' country-best receiving corps is led by projected first-round receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka who combined for 151 receptions, 2,414 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2022.

Headlined by Pro Football Focus' top returning pass-catchers in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka, On3's Jesse Simonton has the Ohio State Buckeyes' receiving corps as the best in the country in 2023.

"For the third straight year, the Buckeyes have the most loaded receiver room in the country," Simonton wrote. "Led by All-American Marvin Harrison, who would’ve been a Top 5 pick in this year’s draft were he eligible, Brian Hartline has assembled a factory of former blue-chip recruits.

In addition to the two-headed monster at the top of the pass-catching totem pole, Ohio State boasts class of 2020 five-star Julian Fleming, an emerging Jayden Ballard, a Swiss Army knife in Xavier Johnson and class of 2023 five-star Carnell Tate, who impressed during spring ball.

"While Harrison is the unequivocal No. 1 wideout in the country, Ohio State also has Emeka Egbuka, another likely 1st Round pick, Julian Fleming, and 5-star freshman Carnell Tate, among others," Simonton wrote.

Ohio State lost Kaleb Brown and Caleb Burton to the transfer portal, committing to Iowa and Auburn, respectively. In addition to Tate's arrival, Noah Rogers and Bryson Rodgers got valuable repetitions in the spring while awaiting the arrival of five-star Brandon Inniss in the summer.

The Buckeyes again have a wealth of pass-catching options whose abilities will certainly take the pressure off the shoulders of whoever wins the quarterback battle and trots out against Indiana in Week 1.
