WATCH: Footage of Ohio State OC Brian Hartline ATV Accident Emerges

Ohio State Buckeyes offensive coordinator Brian Hartline and one other person unaffiliated with the university were treated for injuries in an ATV accident early Sunday morning, according to a release.

Ohio State Buckeyes offensive coordinator Brian Hartline was involved in an ATV side-by-side accident, he announced on Sunday.

The crash took place at Hartline's home near Powell, OH. at approximately 1:20 a.m., as he is currently being treated at Riverside Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to a report by NBC 4 Columbus.

According to reports, Hartline admitted to first responders that he had been drinking at the time of the incident, with police also noting a 'strong odor of an alcoholic beverage' on him at the hospital.

Hartline is hoping to be released from the hospital Sunday evening, according to a release.

There was one other person that was unaffiliated with the university that was transported to the hospital as well, a release said.

Hartline thanked fans for their support in during his on Twitter Sunday afternoon.

"I appreciate everyone's support. I crashed my side by side on my property and have been taken to the hospital for further evaluation," Hartline wrote. "I am doing well."

Approximately 12 hours prior, Hartline was finishing up coaching in Ohio State's Spring Game, being involved in an offensive game plan that produced 555 yards of total offense.

Hartline played at Ohio State from 2005-08, racking up 90 catches, 1,429 yards and 12 touchdowns under former head coach Jim Tressel.

He returned as an offensive quality control coach in 2017, serving as the interim wide receivers coach in 2018 before being promoted to the full-time role in 2019.

The North Canton, OH. native served as the passing game coordinator in addition to coaching the wide receivers room last season, getting promoted to offensive coordinator in January 2023.
