Ohio State Announces NFL Pro Day Plans

Former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud will unofficially be participating in his second Pro Day after throwing to Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson in 2022.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will hold their Pro Day at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on March 22, the school announced on Twitter Wednesday.

Coming off stellar NFL Scouting Combine performances, former quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba will put their talents on display, including a 40-yard dash run — something they didn't do in Indianapolis.

Stroud will have one more opportunity to show NFL scouts why he should be one of the top quarterbacks taken in April's draft. He'll look to build off his impressive NFL combine performance, which garnered high praise from scouts and analysts, as he'll have the opportunity to go through scripted throws and passing patterns with receivers he's familiar with.

One of those wide receivers, Smith-Njigba, will get to once again showcase his agility — which resulted in combine-best times in the 20-yard shuttle and three-cone drill — as well as his route-running skills.

Three players responsible for keeping Stroud upright last season — NFL.com All-Combine selection Luke Wypler and tackles Paris Johnson Jr. and Dawand Jones — will go through blocking technique drills.

The Buckeyes' Pro Day is probably most important to former defensive end Zach Harrison. He's projected as the ninth-best edge rusher, according to The 33rd Team, but was unable to participate in combine drills due to a hamstring injury.

He'll look to display his combination of power, speed and technique that led him to being named a five-star recruit and starter on the defensive line the last two seasons.
