WATCH: Ohio State Legend Archie Griffin Scores TD In Buckeyes Spring Game

Former Ohio State Buckeyes running back Archie Griffin found the end zone yet again while donning the Scarlet and Gray during the Buckeyes' Spring Game Saturday.

It isn't the 1974 or 1975 seasons, but Archie Griffin scored a touchdown.

With the ball on the right hash late in the third quarter, the Ohio State Buckeyes ran a stretch play, as Griffin broke through to the second level, got the edge and coasted into the end zone for six. His touchdown trimmed Team Scarlet's deficit to 34-17 during Ohio State's Spring Game Saturday.

"I only got one in me and that was it," Griffin joked on the Big Ten Network broadcast after his score.

Griffin is the only two-time Heisman Trophy winner in college football history, as his No. 45 is one of eight retired numbers in Ohio State history.

Griffin said afterward that it's always great to be back at Ohio Stadium, and that the tradition from when he played has lived on over the years.

"This is a stadium that's been unbelievable, 100 years old," Griffin said. "And to think that about 50 years ago I was playing here, it's remarkable. I enjoy being here and doing what we're doing right now."

In his career, Griffin rushed for 5,589 yards and 26 touchdowns across 46 games.

He said he has "very, very high" expectations for next season's Ohio State squad.

"We've got a great tradition of recruiting outstanding athletes and playing outstanding football, and we've got to continue that tradition," Griffin said. "I think Ryan Day and his staff, they've done a wonderful job and they'll continue that tradition."
