OSU Softball: Where Are The Cowgirls In The Polls?

With another series victory in the conference last weekend, OSU is still one of the top teams in the country.

Coming off a series victory over BYU last weekend, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls are looking to build off that when it takes on Central Missouri on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. CT at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater. 

After a showdown with Central Missouri, OSU will face a daunting task Thursday-Saturday, when it takes on Texas, with the first game on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT at Cowgirl Stadium. 

Before all that, it is a new week, which means updated top 25 polls. Where did Oklahoma State end up in this week's rankings? 

USA Softball/ESPN.COM – No. 10

After going 2-1 against BYU, OSU fell four spots this week in the USA Softball Top 25 Poll. 

Oklahoma stays on top of the poll, receiving all 25 first place votes and being the top-ranked team in the poll for the third-straight week. 

Texas stays put as the No. 2-ranked team in the country after sweeping UCF this past weekend in Orlando, Florida. 

D1 Softball – No. 9 

Oklahoma State fell six spots in the latest D1 Softball Top 25 Poll, which was the most for a team this week in the poll. 

Oklahoma and Texas stay atop the rankings, with the Sooners at No. 1 and the Longhorns at No. 2. 

Baylor fell in the rankings as well, falling from No. 19 to the No. 24-ranked team in the country after Oklahoma took all three games from the Bears. 

Softball America – No. 7

Oklahoma State stays put in the latest Softball America Rankings. 

Texas jumped two spots to the No. 2-ranked team in the project, overtaking Duke, who fell to No. 4 in the poll. 

Kansas jumps up to the No. 18-ranked team in the country after sweeping Houston and improving to 7-2 in the conference. 

USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll – No. 8

OSU fell four spots in the latest USA Today Top 25 Poll, but it’s the eighth-straight week the Cowgirls have been inside the top 10. 

OU and Texas stayed put in the rankings, while Baylor fell in the rankings for the second-straight week. 

Summary: Top 10 Matchup in Stillwater

With all of the top 25 polls coming out, all four of the rankings have a top 10 matchup in Stillwater between OSU and Texas. 

With all of the softball world paying attention to Cowgirl Stadium this weekend, Oklahoma State will look to make a statement against the Longhorns.
