LOOK: Former Rebel Errol Robinson Records Walk-Off Hit For Memphis Redbirds

The former Ole Miss shortstop made his mark with his Triple-A team on Wednesday.

Former Ole Miss Rebels shortstop Errol Robinson is still making plays on the baseball diamond.

Robinson, a sixth-round selection by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2016 MLB Draft, joined the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 2022. This season, he was assigned to the franchise's Triple-A team, just down the road from Oxford with the Memphis Redbirds.

On Wednesday, he showed that he can still swing it just like his days in Oxford when he recorded a walk-off double to put his team on top in the final box score.

Prior to joining the Cardinals' organization, Robinson spent the 2021 season as a Cincinnati Reds prospect, spending time with the Louisville Bats and Chattanooga Lookouts.

Although he was a shortstop during his time as a Rebel, Robinson checked in as the Redbirds' third baseman on Wednesday. During the course of his minor league career, Robinson has registered a .253 batting average, and in 46 at-bats in Triple-A this season, he has a mark of .196 in that department.

Perhaps this clutch play by the infielder can get him going at the plate as he tries to eventually pave a path to The Show.
