Rain is moving through North Mississippi on Tuesday, and the midweek baseball game at Swayze Field between the Ole Miss Rebels and Murray State Racers has been postponed as a result.

Ole Miss made the announcement around 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, and a makeup date for the game "will be determined at a later time," per a school press release.

Ole Miss is on a certified losing streak, having lost its last seven games and holding a mark of 1-8 in its last nine SEC contests. With this abysmal stretch in mind, the Rebels need all the help they can get if they hope to make the postseason in 2024. After being swept last weekend in Fayetteville by the Arkansas Razorbacks, Ole Miss will not have a midweek tune-up game at its disposal before returning to conference play this weekend.

The Rebels will now shift their focus to a series against in-state rival Mississippi State with hopes of breaking this losing streak. That series is set to begin on Friday with a 7 p.m. CT first pitch, and the game will be televised on SEC Network.
