Rebels Host Southern Miss For Midweek Rematch of Hattiesburg Super Regional
OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels play host to the No. 22 Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Tuesday night for a midweek rematch of 2022's Hattiesburg Super Regional.
The last time these two programs squared off, the Rebels punched their ticket to the Men's College World Series en route to their first national championship in program history. On Tuesday, however, the stakes are certainly lessened, but this rivalry will be renewed on the diamond.
Ole Miss is slated to throw righty JT Quinn in the starting role on Tuesday, and Southern Miss will counter with their own right-hander in Colby Allen. Both of these arms are freshmen with Quinn hailing from Tampa, Fla., and Allen attended Starkville Academy (Miss.).
Below is a preview of the action to take place in Oxford on Tuesday night.
