Coach Yo, Ole Miss Rebels Land Guard DeeDee Hagemann From Transfer Portal

The Ole Miss Rebels women's basketball team added a productive piece to its roster on Saturday afternoon.

The season may be over for head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin and the Ole Miss Rebels, but the emphasis on roster building never sleeps.

The Rebels added Michigan State Spartans transfer guard DeeDee Hagemann via the portal on Saturday afternoon as she shared her decision on social media. You can view her post here, one that states that "The Sip is the move."

Hagemann averaged 12.3 points per game in the 2023-24 season and shot over 50 percent from the field. That was her most productive campaign in her three-year stretch with the Spartans as her career average is 9.9 PPG.

She announced her intent to enter the transfer portal on March 29 after a year that gave her Second Team All-Big Ten Honors and set the school record for assists/turnover ratio (2.84), a mark that was also a conference-best last season. Michigan State also had a successful season on the hardwood as a team, finishing with an overall record of 22-9 and 12-6 within the Big Ten, dropping its first game of the NCAA Tournament to North Carolina by a final score of 59-56.

Hagemann will be joining an Ole Miss team that is becoming a mainstay in the postseason, winning a tournament game in its most recent campaign and finishing with a record of 24-9 (12-4 SEC).
