Ole Miss Women Continue in NCAA Tournament vs. Stanford

The Rebels are looking to advance deeper in the Big Dance on Sunday.

STANFORD, Calif. -- Following their first NCAA Tournament win in 16 years on Friday, the Ole Miss Rebels will continue their time in the Big Dance on Sunday against the one-seed Stanford Cardinal.

This win on Friday marked Ole Miss' first victory in the NCAA Tournament since 2007, a year where the program also reached the Elite Eight, the farthest the team has ever advanced in the postseason. Following that 2007 run, Ole Miss did not reach the tournament again until 2022.

The Rebels held Gonzaga to a 29.3 shooting percentage from the field and an abysmal 5.9 percent from beyond the arc. The Rebels' mantra all season has been "We Defend," and head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin's team reached that mark on Friday night.

Now, the road toughens for Ole Miss as it plays against Stanford in its home arena. Below is a preview of Sunday night's matchup.
