ESPN College GameDay Heading To Athens for Ole Miss Rebels vs. Georgia Bulldogs

The Rebels will hit the road and be on the main stage against the Bulldogs this Saturday night.

The Ole Miss Rebels will be on the main stage of the SEC schedule as it tries to dethrone No. 1 Georgia. The Rebels will also be at the center of attention during pregame festivities.

ESPN's "College GameDay" heads to Athens for the Week 11 showdown between the Bulldogs and No. 10 Rebels at Sanford Stadium. Ole Miss will need a win, or an Alabama loss against Kentucky to remain in the hunt for the SEC West division title.

Both teams are coming off promising victories to keep their College Football Playoff aspirations alive. The Bulldogs (9-0, 6-0 SEC) in Week 10 defeated No. 14 Missouri 30-21 in the first of three straight games vs. ranked opponents. The Rebels (8-1, 5-1 SEC) defeated Texas A&M 38-35 thanks to a blocked field goal against kicker Randy Bond.

Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck's 254 passing yards and two touchdowns extended their nation-leading win streak to 26 games. Georgia's defense forced two turnovers, including a late interception on Mizzou's Brady Cook, to secure the win.

The Rebels have rebounded since their Week 4 loss against Alabama in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Defensively, Ole Miss notched its eighth turnover in three weeks with a red zone interception against A&M's Max Johnson. Quinshon Judkins rushed for three touchdowns, including the game-winner, with less than three minutes remaining.

Saturday will mark both Georgia and Ole Miss' first appearance on "College GameDay" this season. It's also the first matchup between Kirby Smart and Lane Kiffin as head coaches after a stint under Nick Saban at Alabama. Smart was the defensive coordinator, while Kiffin controlled the offense in Tuscaloosa from 2014-15.

This will be Ole Miss' fifth appearance on "College GameDay," with the Rebels going 3-1 prior. Their last appearance culminated in a 29-19 win over Texas A&M on Nov. 13, 2021.

Kickoff from Samford Stadium is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
