In-State JUCO Corner Cedrick Beavers Signs With Ole Miss on Early Signing Day

The Ole Miss Rebels added a JUCO transfer safety to their roster on Wednesday in the form of Cedrick Beavers.

The Ole Miss Rebels officially secured JUCO cornerback Cedrick Beavers on Wednesday during Early Signing Day, putting another strong athlete in Pete Golding’s secondary.

Beavers comes to Ole Miss by way of Jones County Junior College (Miss.), and he spent his high school days at Taylorsville (Miss.), a small high school in the state that is known for producing elite football talent, including former NFL quarterback Jason Campbell.

Among the junior college players in this class, the four-star Beavers is the No. 2 player in the state of Mississippi and No. 2 cornerback nationally. He is also the No. 5 overall player at the JUCO level nationally, according to On3.

Beavers signs with Ole Miss over offers from other programs such as the Arkansas Razorbacks, Louisville Cardinals and Southern Miss Golden Eagles. He has been committed to Ole Miss since Aug. 1 of this year.

In nine games with Jones this season, Beavers totaled 33 tackles and hauled in three interceptions en route to his team’s 6-3 overall record within the difficult ranks of Mississippi JUCO football.
