OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss Rebels are focused on bolstering both sides of the trenches in this recruiting cycle, and they just secured another talented big man along the offensive line, as 2024 three-star John Wayne Oliver signed his national letter of intent with Lane Kiffin’s program on Wednesday.

According to On3’s database, Oliver is rated as the No. 58 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle and the No. 20 recruit in the state of Tennessee. The Nashville, Tenn., native is listed as the No. 673 overall prospect in the 2024 class.

Oliver is 6-5 and 275 pounds and was a part of a offensive line unit that ran for 1,906 yards, 5.2 yards per carry and 28 rushing touchdowns in 2022, according to CPA's MaxPreps.

Oliver previously committed to the Rebels in June and went on to win a state championship in November. On3 interviewed Oliver following his state title win, and the recruit was ecstatic when asked about coming to Ole Miss next year.

“I am so excited, there is no other place I’d rather be going,” Oliver told On3. “It’s a small college town, I didn’t want to go somewhere big, I have family in Mississippi, and it’s only four hours away.”

Oliver decided to sign with Ole Miss over the TCU Horned Frogs, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats, Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Louisville Cardinals, Miami Hurricanes, and Michigan Wolverines among others.

Wayne is Ole Miss’ third commitment along the offensive line this class, joining three-stars Kavion Broussard and Jude Foster.
