Khari Coleman Removed From Rebels Team Activities Pending 'Disciplinary Matter'

The Ole Miss linebacker is not currently with the team, according to head coach Lane Kiffin.

OXFORD, Miss. -- After an eventful first scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday, Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin confirmed that linebacker Khari Coleman has been removed from team activities pending a disciplinary matter.

David Eckert of The Clarion Ledger reported the news on Saturday.

"As you guys know, we handle discipline internally," Kiffin said. "We always collect all information and everything."

Coleman joined the Ole Miss roster as a transfer from the TCU Horned Frogs prior to the 2022 season, and he led the team with 10 tackles for loss, registering 42 tackles on the season and 4.5 sacks.

The Ole Miss defense seemed to win the day of the scrimmage, even in Coleman's absence. Defensive end Cedric Johnson was made available to the media after the mock game where he stated that he thinks his unit is in a solid place.

"We're starting to fine-tune some things," Johnson said. "For us to have three more weeks, I feel we're in a great position. We just got to clean up a few more things. We should be fine."

Ole Miss will continue its trek through fall camp during the month of August before opening its season at home against the Mercer Bears on Sept. 2.
