Ole Miss Rebels Jump to No. 11 in Latest Associated Press Top 25 Rankings

The Ole Miss Rebels are inching closer to returning to the Top 10 following their Egg Bowl win.

The Ole Miss Rebels rebounded slightly in the polls this week following its 17-7 win over Mississippi State on Thursday night.

The Rebels moved up one spot, appearing at No. 11 in the AP Poll to close out the regular season. Ole Miss ranked No. 12 in both polls last week following its win over Louisiana-Monroe.

Here is the updated AP Poll heading into conference championship weekend.

Quinshon Judkins rushed for 119 yards and scored a touchdown Thursday night at Davis Wade Stadium to help secure the Egg Bowl title. Jaxson Dart struggled in the first half before connecting with Caden Prieskorn for a 26-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

The Rebels secured their second 10-win regular season in program history but still do not control their destiny to make a New Year's Six Bowl. Missouri currently is ranked ahead of Ole Miss in both the AP Poll and College Football Playoff rankings.

The Tigers finished 10-2 following their win over Arkansas on Friday. Alabama, which defeated Auburn on a last-second touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe, would likely be the de facto SEC representative in the New Year's Six Bowl should it fall short against Georgia on Saturday.
