The Rebels currently sit with a 7-1 record on the season, exactly where they were a year ago before the team finished the 2022 season 8-5. Fortunately, Ole Miss looks like a completely different team compared to a year ago, as their defense has taken immense strides and the offense has found ways to score in tight games.

With a 4-1 record versus conference opponents, the Rebels are currently No. 2 in the SEC West - behind only the Alabama Crimson Tide. Depending on how the remainder of the season plays out for both teams, Ole Miss could find itself in either the SEC Championship or College Football Playoff if the cards fall in favor of the Rebels.

Ole Miss will play host to the Texas A&M Aggies this Saturday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN. It is shaping up to be another charged matchup between the Rebels and Aggies, as Lane Kiffin has already started to throw shade at his old friend, Jimbo Fisher.
