Ole Miss Lands Commitment From 2025 Four-Star QB Quentin Murphy

The Ole Miss Rebels have become a destination for quarterbacks recently, landing two transfers in 2023 and one high school commit each in the 2024 and 2025 classes.

The Ole Miss Rebels have began building for the future.

They landed their first commitment in the class of 2025 on Saturday, and it was a big one in four-star class of 2025 quarterback Quentin Murphy from Little Rock, Ark. Murphy chose the Rebels after holding 14 offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oregon and Tennessee among others.

Murphy is 6-1 and 205 pounds as a dual threat under center. In his sophomore season in 2022, he completed 98 of 167 passes for a 58.7 completion percentage, something he will have to develop his final two seasons at Joe T. Robinson High School.

He showcased decent arm talent, picking up chunk yards, throwing for 1,388 yards on 14.2 yards per completion last season. He tossed 19 touchdowns to six interceptions as well.

However, Murphy is also a threat with his legs, running for 569 yards on 113 attempts, finding the end zone eight times last season.

Ole Miss has been a quarterback's destination since head coach Lane Kiffin took over, as his explosive offense has allowed gunslingers to thrive.

In addition to former Rebels signal caller Matt Corral getting selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, Jaxson Dart, Spencer Sanders and Walker Howard have all transferred in looking to play in Kiffin's pass-happy offense.

Kiffin also will welcome Demond Williams in the class of 2024.
